Ashna

Ashna is a past pupil of CMS Ladies’ College, currently pursuing her higher studies in the fields of Psychological Science and Business Studies at Monash University. Her passion for singing started at the age of 6 under the guidance of late Ruwani Seimons. She later went on to become a part of the Soul Sounds Academy choir in 2011 before joining Soul Sounds in the year 2013. Ashna followed ABRSM London exams in Singing, Violin, Piano and won All-Island awards for both Singing and the Violin.

Apart from Ashna’s passion for the arts culminating in her appointments as school Choir Leader, Orchestra Leader and Music society President, Ashna was an active member of the school swim team and Netball team where she received athletic colours during her final year in school. Enhancing the lives of the underprivileged is another voluntary activity she cherishes.

“Singing is something I’ve been passionate about since day one and being part of Soul Sounds is definitely a treat. Being able to share the stage with an amazingly talented bunch is such a privilege. Performing and working with them, makes me feel not just part of a choir but part of a family! I know that the memories I’ve made with Soul Sounds and the memories I’m yet to make are ones that will last a lifetime!”
