Ninga as she is called, has perfect pitch securing abilities, and takes great pride in encouraging everyone but herself to sing solos. From teaching and thinking up harmonies, to being the choir’s central source of spiritual guidance, Ninga has a ‘finger in all the pies’, as it were.
Having started singing with Mary Anne David when she was just six, music has always been close to her heart. She joined the Holy Family Convent Senior Choir and remained an integral part of it until she left school. Wanting to keep music very much a part of her life, she moved straight into Soul Sounds. Ninga has been a part of the group since its inception.
Ninga is following a BA in English at the University of Colombo, and is also studying for CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing). A lover of all types of music, Ninga also enjoys sitting down with a good book.
One of the few “bottom altos” of the group, she takes great delight in singing with the choir and is one of its most dedicated members. As an alto, fellow chorister and most of all a friend, Ninga is very much the ‘cog in the alto wheel’
