Rashmi joined the choir when she was fourteen years old and has enjoyed singing ever since. Her interest in singing is based on her love for the arts in general, especially her love for theatre. She was rewarded for her efforts in 2005 when she received the all island inter-school Shakespeare Drama Competition prize for 'Best Supporting Actress' for her role in 'Measure for Measure'. Her life is full of accomplishments such as her appointment as Deputy Head Prefect of Holy Family Convent, Colombo 04, in 2005.
She is currently studying Human Resource Management. As a person who is extremely friendly and sensitive to the feelings of others, a job in human resource management would be her ideal occupation.
Rashmi has always said that her experience in this unique choir was nothing but an enjoyable aspect of her life. As the choir takes the place of a second family, it is only natural that she will always sing with Soul Sounds.
