12 Year old Tanisha Kiara Wijesinghe is one of the newer choristers to have joined Soul Sounds in the year 2006. Being a student of St. Bridget’s Convent, Tanisha at the age of 7 was chosen to be a part of the school choir. Tanisha has also acted in many school produced dramas, and was also chosen to be a part of Shakespearian drama competition. She is also a member of the school junior badminton team.
Tanisha is a student of The Yolande School of Speech and Drama, under the guidance of Mrs.Samantha De Soysa Abeyeweera. She was chosen to play the part of ‘Wendy’ in the musical Peter Pan under Ms. Abeyeweera’s direction in June 2006. Since the age of 5 Tanisha has been an active member of the Channa Upuli Academy for Oriental Dancing. Tanisha has performed in various performances on behalf of this school.
Given the above, Tanisha has no doubt that the teaching of Mrs Soundarie David will not only help her to perform better with the Soul Sounds but would also help her in her future career.
