Shyana Perera is a past pupil of both Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya and Ladies College Colombo. She was part of Soundarie David Rodrigo’s Junior Choir and later joined Soul Sounds in 2005. Shyana studied piano under the guidance of Mrs. Ramya De Livera Perera and has completed her ABRSM examinations in Grade 8. She also followed singing exams under the guidance of Mrs Soundarie David Rodrigo.
Shyana is currently following an under graduate Bachelors degree in Science and Arts at the University of Sydney. She hopes to major in Psychology and would eventually like to work with children in trauma and special needs. “I consider myself to be truly blessed to be able to sing with these amazing individuals and am grateful for the opportunity given. I believe each and every one of them is special and that each voice adds in to make that Awesome sound which to me is the sound of Love, hope, peace, faith and friendship. Soul Sounds is like family to me and I love them all very much.”
